National AmeriCorps has announced a temporary hold on all VISTA placements within the Midwest Region until October 2024. Volunteer applicants and subsites are encouraged to continue applying in anticipation of openings this fall.

Think Tank’s AmeriCorps VISTA project maintains an emphasis on addressing the root causes of poverty and systemic barriers to those in poverty. VISTA members help nonprofits strengthen their impact in a variety of ways such as projects that focus on marketing, volunteer recruitment, program development, resource development and more.

Think Tank Inc. is an intermediary sponsor that works with nonprofit groups to host AmeriCorps VISTA members. From organizations like United Way to small grass-root nonprofits, we have a variety of year long immersion experiences.
Our VISTA members work on projects like; curriculum design, grant writing, social media, volunteer recruitment, program development, marketing, and communications. Service positions are limited and competitive.
